Geschichte
Nine years after 'Before Sunset', Jesse and Celine are now married with twin daughters and living in Paris. They spend a summer vacation in Greece at the invitation of an author colleague of Jesse's. As their vacation comes to an end, Jesse must send his teenage son from a previous relationship off to the States. This task causes Jesse to reflect on his life decisions, straining his relationship with Celine.
Zusammenfassung
Before Midnight is the third installment in Richard Linklater's 'Before Trilogy', following 'Before Sunrise' (1995) and 'Before Sunset' (2004). The film continues to explore the evolving relationship between Jesse and Celine, now a married couple with children. Set in Greece, the story is a semi-autobiographical reflection on love, time, and personal growth over two decades. This final chapter of the trilogy is considered an epic triumph of storytelling.
