In the seemingly idyllic village of Möhnstedt, where parking offenses and speeding go unpunished due to the leniency of village policeman Klaus Burck, a shocking crime disrupts the peaceful atmosphere. When Jutta Krohn reports her daughter Nina missing, it's initially thought she might have run away. However, Nina's body is soon discovered in the village lake, indicating foul play. An investigation reveals that Nina was a nightclub dancer who had sex with three men before her death. The trail leads to the influential bakery owner Jansen and his sons, causing tension as half of the village rallies against the police. Klaus' new colleague Eva Mann, fresh from the Hamburg police academy, is astonished by the leniency towards such crimes in Möhnstedt and works tirelessly alongside Klaus to solve the case.
