Geraldine Chaplin, born July 31, 1944 to Charlie Chaplin and Oona O'Neill, is an American actress known for her prominent roles in international cinema. She debuted in English-language film with 'Doctor Zhivago' (1965) and made her Broadway debut in 'The Little Foxes' (1967). Notably, she played Nefertiti in 'Nefertiti and Akhenaton' (1973), starred in 'Nashville' (1975), and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in 'Welcome to L.A.' (1976). Chaplin also worked extensively in French and Spanish cinema, earning a Goya Award. She had a 12-year relationship with director Carlos Saura, appearing in several of his films.
