Reciting Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' at just five years old caught the attention of director David Lynch, who cast her as Alia in his film 'Dune' (1984). She began acting professionally before completing high school, earning her equivalency credential at 14. Witt is also an accomplished pianist, having done undergraduate work in piano at Boston University and competed nationally.
