Story
The movie follows Maria, a 16-year-old girl who is forced into Serra D'Aires convent by her family. The convent is secretly run by Satanists with the collusion of her confessor and the Mother Superior. Maria undergoes extensive torture and is forced to engage in sexual acts with men, women, and a figure disguised as the horned Devil. She believes these experiences are all part of a bad dream. Maria writes a letter to God pleading for help, which ultimately leads to her rescue by a knight. However, she soon falls into the hands of the Inquisition, is put on the rack, and condemned to death like Joan of Arc.
