Emmanuelle Seigner, born on June 22, 1966, is a French actress and singer known for her roles in 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly' (2007), 'The Ninth Gate' (1999), and 'Frantic' (1988). She has been nominated for multiple César Awards. Daughter of photographer Jean-Louis Seigner and journalist Aline Ponelle, she is the older sister of actress Mathilde Seigner and singer Marie-Amélie Seigner. Seigner was educated at a Catholic convent school and began modeling at age 14. Married to Polish film director Roman Polanski since 1989, they have two children.
