Story
Una famiglia (2017) follows Vincent and Maria, a seemingly ordinary couple living in Rome. Vincent, born near Paris but estranged from his roots, and Maria, who grew up in Ostia but has since disconnected from her family, appear to be content with their secluded life. However, upon closer inspection, their everyday life reveals a sinister project they are involved in. Vincent acts as the mastermind, while Maria, fifteen years younger than him, plays the role of a surrogate mother as part of their scheme to sell babies to couples who cannot have children. Despite this arrangement, Maria decides it's time for them to create a real family, leading her to rebel against Vincent and his plans.
