As she navigates this unpredictable new dynamic, their relationship becomes a wild journey of its own.
Summary
Directed by Marion Vernoux, Bonhomme is a French drama-comedy that explores the complexities of relationships and the impact of trauma on an individual's psyche. The film centers around Piotr and Marilyn, a young suburban couple whose lives are shaken by a car accident. While the accident doesn't outwardly alter Piotr's appearance, it causes him to exhibit erratic behaviors, swinging between apathy and extreme sexual appetites. This transformation challenges Marilyn's love and patience as she grapples with her husband's changed demeanor. Bonhomme offers a raw and humorous exploration of how trauma can reshape relationships and the lengths partners will go to maintain their bond.
