Eugénie Anselin was born in Paris and spent part of her childhood in Germany before moving to Luxembourg with her family. At age 14, she began acting classes at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. She wrote and performed a one-woman show called 'Attention chantier en cours', which received acclaim at the opening of the Humour pour la paix Festival. Anselin pursued both stage and screen careers before graduating from the Zurich University of Arts (ZHdK).
