She gained prominence for her roles in European films such as 'Il Giardino dei Finzi-Contini', 'The Conformist', 'Novecento', 'Beyond Good and Evil', 'The Mackintosh Man', and 'Steppenwolf'. Story
In Rome, 1880, Gregorio decides to close his bakery and inform his children Pippo, Mario, and daughter Teta that they must make their own way. However, newly married Irene, Pippo's wife, fears that if Gregorio falls in love again, she might lose her share of the inheritance. She uses her intelligence and ambition to convince her brothers-in-law that they must prevent Gregorio from remarrying at all costs.
