She has been married twice, firstly to actor Alessio Orano from 1975-1981, and secondly to Federico Facchinetti from 1988-1996. Muti has three children: Naike Rivelli, Andrea, and Carolina Facchinetti. Since 1998, she has been living with Stefano Piccolo, a plastic surgeon.
