Anette Karlsen is a Danish actress widely recognized for her roles in popular 1970s and 80s Danish cinema and television. Born as Anette Karlsen on April 24, 1947, in Denmark, she pursued her formal acting education at the Odense Theater Acting School (Skuespillerskolen ved Odense Teater) from 1969 to 1971. To refine her craft, she also traveled to France for specialized study programs under world-renowned masters such as Marcel Marceau and Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
She is best known to audiences for her performance as Merete in the 1973 comedy "Mig og mafiaen" (Me and the Mafia), starring alongside the legendary Dirch Passer. Her prolific career in the 1970s also included roles in films like "Fætrene på Torndal" and "Pigen og drømmeslottet". Beyond the big screen, she made significant contributions to Danish television, appearing in series such as the acclaimed crime drama "Rejseholdet" (Unit One) in 1983 and the series "Krigsdøtre". Throughout her career, she also performed at the Aalborg Theater, establishing herself as a versatile talent in both stage and screen productions.
