"Bae Doona's essence is captivating; she was born in Seoul, South Korea. Daughter of a stage actress, she was initially noticed by a model talent agency but later embraced acting, following her mother's path. Known internationally for 'The Ring' (1999), which featured Naomi Watts stateside, Bae's career took flight post that hit film with 'Plum Blossoms' (2000). This coming-of-age drama sparked interest due to its three explicit sex scenes.
