Paulina Porizkova (born Pavlína Pořízková on 9 April 1965) is a Czech-American model and actress, born during the Cold War era in Czechoslovakia. She rose to prominence as a model at age eighteen when she became the first woman from Eastern Europe to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated's swim-suit issue consecutively (1984 and 1985), following Christie Brinkley.
