Vollständige Biografie
Rebecca Marder was born on April 10, 1995, in Paris, France. Born as Rebecca Douce Michèle Marder, she is also frequently credited as Rebecca Marder de la Comédie-Française, a title reflecting her significant seven-year tenure as a member of France's most prestigious national theater troupe.
As the daughter of American composer Marc Marder and French theater critic Mathilde de La Bardonnie, she holds dual French-American citizenship and grew up in a culturally rich environment. Her acting career began exceptionally early; she made her film debut at just five years old in This Is My Body (2001).
After refining her craft at the Conservatory of the 13th Arrondissement and the National Theater School of Strasbourg, she achieved a historic milestone in 2015 by becoming one of the youngest "pensionnaires" (permanent actors) in the history of the Comédie-Française at the age of 20.
Since leaving the troupe in 2022 to focus on cinema, she has rapidly ascended to stardom. Her breakout roles include portraying a young Simone Veil in Simone: Woman of the Century and her César-nominated performance in the political thriller Grand Expectations (2022). Today, she is widely recognized as one of the most luminous and versatile talents in contemporary French film.
